Even the blue one, which is supposed to be an extra strength band, doesn't provide that much resistance. It sort of works if you grasp it far from the end (essentially to shorten the band), but I wish it were stronger. When I watch youtube videos of Pilates exercises, the bands they use seem to be much stronger because people are holding them near the ends. And there I was holding it almost a quarter of the way down each end. I guess this is why you don't buy the cheapest product out there. There's a reason why it's cheap.

This product was a disappointment to me. I'm sure I just misunderstood what was being sold but I thought the bands came with DVD or booklet on exercises to do with them. It did not, you have to buy the DVD separately. The bands are fine, they do stink and leave the smell on your hands all day no matter how much you scrub them, but I guess that's to be expected from rubber. Just disappointed overall, though I'm sure it's my own fault.

These bands are longer than the resistance bands I have purchased at the store and the length is necessary if you are planning on doing full body toning or pilates. They are very durable and don't tear (even after repeated use). I highly recommend purchasing these bands!
