birdy Said: A good training addition ( Nov. 20th 2009 )
How can you go wrong with resistance bands? They all break at one point or another if you use them regularly--so that's why I purchased this one (to replace the last two I purchased at Filene's Basement which broke from serious usage). If you are a woman I strongly suggest you do not buy the blue like I did... way too strong for me; can hardly do bicep curls with them. I gave 4 stars because the cord takes some self tuning (it coils a little and doesn't grip well under my shoe when it's pressed to the floor). I guess in time I'll adjust to it, but I definitely have to buy a different color because the blue is limiting in exercise options due to its heavy tension. Also, the door attachment is a bit misleading in what you think it might be. You actually place it halfway inside the open door space and then close the door so the loop sticks out... problem with that is: I'm afraid that the 'knot' part inside the closed door will snap somehow and pop out--thus injuring me in the process (probably totally in my head but it's a scary thought for me nonetheless).
R. Norris Said: great workout tool! ( Nov. 16th 2009 )
I had previously purchased the red resistance band and discovered I needed something heavier, so I ordered the blue. It is significantly heavier and was just what I needed. It is well-built and the door attachment is so nice to have. I use it with the P90x workout and it is perfect.
L. Lake Said: Perfect replacement ( Nov. 13th 2009 )
We ordered this as a replacement to a Harbinger band we'd bought that broke. This is working our really well. Stays compact when not in use and the attachments being fabric with the plastic just on the handle means that you're not getting hit in the wrist as you often do with the completely plastic attachments.
Happy Squishy Said: Better than nothing ( Nov. 7th 2009 )
This is the first resistance band I have. I admit I am a little disappointed with what I got but it is not the manufacturer's fault. I like dump bells better than resistance bands. But Resistance bands make working out possible anywhere. Good concept! I ordered a heavier one right after I received my order. I do not know what makes a good resistance band good, a bad resistance band bad. They just don't work the same as weights. The most expensive resistance band will still work weird because they are resistance bands. They are not my ideal strength training tool, but hey! It is better than nothing. Just one advice, the medium is too still light. Go straight to the heavy weight.
Heather L. Amaral Said: Great to add to your travel bag... ( Nov. 1st 2009 )
If you are like me and you would like to travel 'on the go' and you find it difficult, pack this little item in your bag and give yourself some options in your hotel room. Although many hotels have gyms, this gives you some additional exercises you can do right in the privacy of your room and it's easy to pack without taking up too much space. I am very happy with this purchase.
